About The Gastronomia Group, with its brands Gastronomia (for professional chefs) and Cool & Simple (for epicurean consumers), is a creator and distributor of high-quality frozen culinary solutions based in Montreal. Your role in the team
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, your main missions will be to optimize the efficiency and profitability of logistics operations, ensure that products are delivered on time, in accordance with established quality standards, and that the needs of customers are met.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning, coordinating, and supervising daily logistics operations to ensure efficient management of goods flow.
- Negotiating purchase contracts with logistics service providers and monitoring inventory levels.
- Utilizing the ERP platform (Prextra) to optimize inventory management and minimize holding costs.
- Generating regular reports to assess key performance indicators (KPIs), analyzing data, and recommending corrective actions if necessary.
- Collaborating with suppliers, carriers, and warehouse managers to ensure on-time delivery of orders at competitive costs.
- Working closely with cross-functional teams to optimize flow management.
- Managing logistics issues and resolving disputes with suppliers and customers to ensure their satisfaction and maintain strong business relationships.
Your profile:
- DEC or Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain management principles, logistics concepts, and inventory management.
- Experience of the cold chain in the field of food products.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to proactively solve problems.
- Analytical skills to interpret complex data and establish accurate forecasts.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and supply chain management software (ERP). Knowledge of Prextra is an asset.
- Excellent organizational skills, rigor, and attention to detail.
- Bilingual in French/English, spoken and written.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and negotiation skills.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- High level of autonomy and initiative.

About Gastronomia
Gastronomia is a Canadian leader in frozen culinary solutions for chefs. We help them enhance their menus and optimize their kitchen operations.
Our rapidly growing company is seeking a Business Development Manager for Eastern Quebec (Eastern Greater Montreal, South Shore, Montérégie, Estrie, Lanaudière, Mauricie, Quebec City). The candidate must reside in the Greater Montreal area.

- An entrepreneurial spirit
- Experience in the restaurant sector and/or related fields.
- Good autonomy and excellent organizational skills
- Proficiency in customer relationship management (CRM)
- Access to a car for visiting clients.
To spice up your daily routine, you will need to:
- Conduct product demonstrations of our delicious products for chefs and share ideas for applications with them.
- Grow sales with our partner distributors, in collaboration with their sales teams.
- Represent the company at trade shows and culinary events.
- Collaborate actively with sales, marketing, and product development team members.
Key duties, responsibilities:
- Implement an effective sales strategy in the territory to achieve company objectives.
- Develop new strategic clients
- Identify new needs of our end-user clients and evaluate our competitors’ offerings.
- Retain and grow our various types of clients, whether end-users or distributors
- Maintain high-level relationships with distributors and strategic accounts.
- Organize business reviews with key clients to discuss past performance and sales opportunities.
- Represent the company at trade shows and other professional events.
Qualifications and Skills:
- University degree in sales and marketing management or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development and account management
- Excellent understanding of the restaurant sector
- Strong ability to collaborate in a team.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills
- Bilingual in French/English, written and spoken.
- Good analytical skills to decide on local sales strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Good commercial negotiation skills
- Ability to find and propose creative solutions to client problems.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, CRM software, and ERP.
- Must have a vehicle, as the role requires frequent travel around Montreal and other regions of Quebec.
- Experience in social media and marketing is an asset.
